About the event

Hello & Welcome to the "10 Day Plant-Based Healing Program with Mindful Eating & Nature-Based Mindfulness." 

This program is designed to help you establish a healthy, nourishing plant-based healing plan that incorporates nature-based mindfulness practices. During the 10-day program, you will learn how to prepare and enjoy a variety of plant-based meals, packed with essential nutrients to fuel your body and promote healing. Please consult your physician or health care practitioner if you have health issues, or Diabetes which requires a specific diet.

In addition to nourishing your body, you will also learn about mindful eating practices, such as paying attention to your body's physical sensations, being aware of the origins and journey of your food, using all your senses to fully experience the flavors, textures, and colors of your food, focusing on the present moment while eating, and listening to your body's signals of hunger and fullness. 

Along with the nourishing meals, you will be guided through various nature-based mindfulness practices, including spending time in nature, practicing gratitude, and connecting with the natural world to enhance your overall well-being. 

The program includes a 2-day lead-up preparation period along with a Group Zoom call to help you set the right intentions and create a conducive environment for your journey, as well as an end-day Group Zoom reflection to help you integrate your newfound knowledge and habits into your daily life.

Facilitator: Rachel Schmidt BSW PLC

Rachel Schmidt specializes in a depth psychology coaching approach called Psychosynthesis. This mind, body, spirit approach can help individuals connect to self in meaningful ways, and access inner resources so life transitions can be moved through with intention and ease. Rachel's background includes training and certification in Psychosynthesis from the Synthesis Institute in San Francisco, a Bachelor of Social Work Degree from the University of Victoria, 30 years of counselling experience, and expertise in meditation, health & wellness, and nature-based mindfulness. Outside of her work, she is a mother, activist, artist, and sweet soul.
