About the event

☀️Introduction:

Hello and welcome, my name is Rachel Schmidt. I use nature based mindfulness, depth psychology, and contemplative arts to help women shift their awareness into self reflection and mindfulness so they can discover and integrate new parts of self, and live the life that is calling them ~ because a calm and clear mind creates a deeply happy body and soul.

Many of the women I work with have a vision of a life at the edge of their consciousness trying to emerge. A desire to live another story with more meaning, or a new version of self wanting to explore the world. If you feel this too then something is trying to get your attention. Are you listening, can you open space to allow these parts to come forward, to be in relationship with them?

My studio is located in a forest in British Columbia, Canada surrounded by 150-year-old trees. I have a background in social work, psychosynthesis, nature based mindfulness, teaching, and visual art. Over the last few years I have blended these practices and developed a series of self reflection and contemplative arts courses/workshops where women across the world can meet online in safe and generative spaces.

☀️Friday Lunch & Learn: Contemplative Art Practices for a Meaningful Life

Lunch & Learns are an invitation to take time out of your day to focus on meaningful learning and connect with other women on topics that have depth and new ideas ~ and mindful practices that you can immediately integrate into your daily life to improve your sense of well-being.

Contemplative Practices for a Meaningful Life explores the art of making meaning. We will take a virtual trip around the world to be inspired by art and shrines, and the beauty of the natural world. Together we will explore contemplative art practices like how to build your own beautiful shrine, and meaningful nature based activities like forest bathing, stargazing, and immersion into nature soundscapes.

If you are looking for rich learning experiences and new connections then please join us.

This online workshop is scheduled for Friday, December 9th 12:00 pm - 2:30 pm PDT. This would be a Breakfast & Learn for women living in New Zealand on Saturday, Dec 10 at 9 am.
